The Off Color Family Goes to Dinner.....happy early birthday...

my daughter loved this sign on the wall at a shop in North Carolina...

I took this for her amusement.

My son went off with a couple of friends and a friends dad for what he stated was a road trip....

it's spring break here and so yesterday they took off

for destination unknown...

i still haven't heard where...

b...did you forget to call your mommy...

tomorrow is my daughter M.'s birthday...

she and I plan to take a few friends and go to the local pottery place and out to dinner..

since her dad has to work late, we went out for a family dinner tonight...

I swear my husband and my daughter's sense of humor is so off-color

and such the same....it's like sitting with "mega me and mini-me"...

We went out for a nice evening and before I knew it...

there was all kinds of edgy jokes and comments being passed across the table....

she and I talked about how cute our waiter,'hunter' was...

she said, she thought he "wanted" her...but my husband

said he thought it was him he was flirting with....

the conversation went from bad to worse and

i promise you..

i cannot tell you

how bad it got...it might get me excommunicated from the church...

and that would be really bad at the church I attend....

At one point..there was a moment where they both

pretended that they were in the movie..

"when harry met sally...." and for any of you who have seen it..

it's the scene in the sandwich shop----

I tried to sit there and ignore them...but it was hard...

but after a bit..their laughing was contagious and I could feel myself

beginning to give in...I caught myself smiling which is always a mistake with Mega me and mini me...

and yes...people did look at us out of the corner of their eyes..

and occasionally i even caught a few others try not to smile...

bread and oil, bruschetta, salad, pizza, lasagna...

garlic and laughter..

doesn't get much better does it?

the one story that broke us up was when they were talking

about male anatomy....when a girl has a brother a year older..they often joke and talk

and play jokes on each other.

Since brother was out of town, sister began divulging stories...

the best one of the night...

 from the off color family was

when she said,

"the grossest thing he ever did was...

one day...

we had been joking about what happens in the bedroom and later I was in my room watching tv and he

cracked the door...

I looked over

 and there was something long and skinny and pink sticking though the crack in the bathroom door..

she said I looked a second time before i realized he had a hotdog..poking through the crack.

(I thought dear God....Porky's revisited at the off color families house).

imagine coming home and finding a hotdog stuck between the door of the bathroom and a bedroom...

oh my the things that happen here...

It was a nice night...

fun and good food and great company...

happy early birthday off color daughter...

i love that you are such the mini me...but you'd better watch...

you might turn out like the mega me.

look forward to girls night tomorrow...
