You are not Done......even if you want to be!!!!

I have heard it said,

time and time again,

in the church,

in the secular world,

in my family,

and

believe it or not..

yes

I have said it myself!!

"been there done that"

"I've done my share"

"I'm too old to do that"

"I did that when my kids were little...I'm not doing it again"

"I've paid my dues"

"I'm finished"

Life continues to flow,

move,

weave a story

and

it invites us to be a viable living partaker in the tale.

Yes...

we age..

grow tired...

bored...

become overwhelmed...

cynical...

or

just plain done.

but

regardless of the lie we tell ourselves...

life flows right on

past us

around us

in us...

we think we've done it all

think it's time to retire,

sit down,

rest a bit,

seclude,

remove,

and

yet

a mystical

tale

continues

of which we are a part.

We don't "get done"

"never finish until it is over"

and

"even then"

our dust

continues to

weave a tale

in the universe

an untold story that is never finished.

If you are alive,

If you can read this,

guess

what.

You are not done....

take a deep breath..

and

grab hold of the story line...

open up your heart...

pen a few lines

your mission is not done...

you've a story to live.

May each of us...

myself included...

be

reminded today

of the fragility of life,

the speed of time,

the miracle of breathing and living and giving.

get off the couch,

turn off the tube,

move,

dance,

give,

live.
