It's Hotter than Satan Sex in the South.....

It is a sizzling hot day here in the South.

The heat hits you when you go out the door and

pulls the moisture from your insides

to the outside.

Sweat oozes out of your pores,

pools,

and

eventually runs down the crevices of your body.

My daughter often uses the term

"hotter than Satan Sex"

and

as hot as it has been lately...

well Satan must be one happy creature!!!!

I don't like the heat...

it smothers me...

it pulls my energy and drains my emotions.

I've tried to stay inside in the cool air most of the day...that helps for sure.

Don't want this sexy hot mama too sweaty...

that's only sexy after the fact if you know what I mean.

It has been a long week.

The heat wore on my nerves

and

my schedule exhausted me.

Even in the heat..

i have to realize..

that life is basically really good and I really don't have much to complain about.....

even though I feel like it tonight on this sweltering night--complaining that is.

It has been a week of reconnecting for me.

Friends dropping by to say hello

and

a

farewell

to another.

And this morning, breakfast with a friend in crises...

friends---sisters by soul---

connected at the table

where we

shared stories bearing our soul.

We laughed and we cried

 around the tables we shared,

grace and joy and wonder

swirled

 creating a

sacred communion of sorts...

supported by

God's Love

reviving our spirits

and

recharging our strength.

So on this evening

when the weather is

hotter than Satan sex down here in the South...

I find myself

even in my grumpy mood...

thankful

for

the good things,

A COOL DIET PEPSI ON A HOT DAY,

AIR CONDITIONING,

FRIENDS WHO PICK UP WHENEVER THEY MEET AGAIN

AND

FOR

THE

WONDER OF GOD

WHO BINDS US

TOGETHER

OVER TIME...
