Sacredness

"When humans participate in ceremony, they enter a sacred space. Everything outside of that space shrivels in importance. Time takes on a different dimension. Emotions flow more freely. The bodies of participants become filled with the energy of life, and this energy reaches out and blesses the creation around them. All is made new everything becomes sacred."

Life
sacred ground
everywhere
bush burning
flames flicker
and
we humans
walk around
zoned out
spaced out
stressed out
not seeing
not sensing
just going through the motions.

Every so often
it happens
we sense the ground on which we stand
is
what "they" call Holy
we see a sense of different
and
we stop
stop long enough
to see
tiny filaments
surrounded by yellow crowns
atop
thorn like stack
finished off with petals atop a stem
and
for
just a moment
it happens...
that strange thing
when the world suddenly stops
and we
stand
in our awe-stricken trance
allowing us to
embrace the sacredness of everyday life.

May each of you
take a moment
to
allow the warmth of the flame
to invite you
to stand for a moment
to feel your smallness
in the world
and
try
to capture
best as we humans can
a small sense of
the Mystery...
and
be changed.

Wishing all of you
a barefoot
encounter on
sacred turf...

Happy Tuesday
and
Hugs...
