it's the stuff behind that really matters

 Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
As I was walking,
I noticed a plain old ordinary door from across the way,
As I got closer,
I could tell the door was plain,
brown,
and
had a Gothic type window on the front...
just ordinary I assumed.
I went to walk on by it,
but
something glistening caught my eye
and
I turned
and
walked up to the door,
peered into the depths of darkness
and
much to
my
surprise,
rays of light
colored with orange and yellow and greens
greeted me
as if the sun was laughing and saying,
"look what I can do".
I stood there watching the glistening
and
found myself
at
peace and
thankful
that the glimmer of light
caught me.
I wonder now,
how often
I pass by someone,
who I consider
"just plain"
or
"ordinary"
or
"normal"
and
Miss the beauty on the inside....
perhaps today...
I'll take my time
and
peer deeper into the hidden heart spaces
where
others beauty lies.
Happy Tuesday...
and
Hugs

So sweet! and so true!
The world would be a better place if we all took a second to notice the small things, and the bright lights in others:)

Have a beautiful week, and smile at yourself in the mirror for me!

Hugs,

Lovely. The stained glass comparison is so apt when speaking of people. There is so much to every single human that we miss because we go by only what is immediately visible.
Thanks for sharing this, Pleemiller :-) with the perfect picture too!

You're right. We miss a lot of beauty because we're just not looking. I hope you have a bright and beautiful day!
